Good morning everyone, please stand for morning prayers

Please write name and date to the top of the next page in the writing books.

Let students draw the shapes and write the words. Help them read each word as they colour in the shapes NEATLY with the corresponding colours. Let them identify the shapes and colours when finished.

Let students write each letter while pronouncing the letter sounds as they write. After writing each letter, let them go back and identify all the letter b's and circle them. Bonus points if at the end of the activity they can circle every letter 'b' used today.

Let students look at the words and write them one by one, and read each one from left to write. The first three lines are phrases to be read as assembled words. These words occur in the story and are made up of jolly phonics phonetic words and dolch primer sight words i.e. they would have come across these in the primer and other class activities. The following words are phonetic meaning they can be sounded out:

duck

The rest are 'look and say'/'sight words'/'tricky words' that they should learn to say by looking at them. Flashcards are good here. Do not sound out these words. Let them practice identifying the words when you mix up the order too.

1. Let student draw vertical lines on a toilet paper roll

2. Let student cut along all of the lines.

Use household objects or toys to form the letter 'b'

Those who have not completed the letter 'b' in their workbooks can catch up now.
